We would love to see you at this year’s harvest dinner! Tickets can be purchased here.
One of our beloved traditions here at the Colorado Farm and Art Market is hosting an annual harvest dinner and fall fundraiser at The Margarita. Chef Eric curates a farm-to-table dinner using only the freshest seasonal ingredients from our vendors. We also have fun activities, drinks, and live music from local musicians! We were unable to host this event in 2020; we’re so glad it’s back.
Did you know that CFAM relies heavily on donations from the public? Because we are an agricultural cooperative, our consumer members have more participatory power in the board’s decision-making. However, the trade-off is that we are not designated as a 501(c)3 non-profit, and therefore not widely eligible for grant funding or tax-deductible donations.
The COVID-19 pandemic has taken an economic toll across the board––our market, farmers, artisans, and patrons have all felt the impacts of food and job insecurity. Meanwhile, Colorado farmers and ranchers are dealing with the dire consequences of the climate crisis, such as drought, wildfire smoke, erosion, and water pollution.
CFAM is dedicated to continuing the market in a sustainable way. We seek to build resilience for our vendors, our customers, and our staff members alike.
It is relevant for us to note that we serve a high volume of SNAP recipients. We also participate in the Double Up Food Bucks program, which allows SNAP shoppers to stretch their nutritional benefits even more. In this way, we address food inequity by making farm-fresh produce more accessible to low-income families.
In order for us to continue hosting high-quality, community-focused markets with some of the most trustworthy farmers, ranchers, and creative small business owners in the region, we need your financial support. If you are able, you may purchase tickets here. We welcome your family and friends to this celebratory harvest dinner, where you’ll get to know our farmers and artists even better while enjoying the finest food Colorado has to offer. We hope you’ll come out and show some love for CFAM! We appreciate you!
